Roulette on TV
Live Roulette TV
The roulette game featured on the show follows the rules of European roulette (with the single zero wheel). Every three minutes, the wheel is spun to determine a new winning number. As its popularity continued to grow, the show was extended an additional two hours to run until 4am. As of this writing, the show now airs on Sky Digital channel 866. It is also simulcast on Sky, Freesat, Freeview and Internet platforms (including Pitch Gaming 2 channel 867 and Open Access 3 channel 200). Initially, bets could only be placed by a telephone menu. Players called in and were charged 10p via a national rate number. Bets were initially limited to such options as corners, splits and straights. In recent years, the system has increased to allow many more roulette betting options. In August of 2006, the show became fully interactive via the Internet. Thanks to the launch of their website, players are now able to view the show online and also place bets on their computer. A Myspace fan site is also available at www.myspace.com/liveroulette. The show features a group of presenters who are all fully-trained croupiers. Many of these individuals have become quite popular in the UK, and they include Kylie Cushman, Rebecca Nasir, Chantel Shafie, Oreke Mosheshe, Stuart Stone, Christen Matthews, Anstey, Richie Litchfield, Olivia Hill, Rob Lamarr, Chris Ditchburn and Natasha Powell. Players can also sign up for a “Premium Player Account.” This enters their names into a number of prize drawings, but only residents of the UK are eligible. However, players from across the globe can sign up for free player accounts and play just for fun. To play Live Roulette TV, you must be at least 18 years of age.
